Title says it all, I am debating banning AI content outright, but I wanted to get the feedback of the community.
This went into effect last week but I forgot to actually save the changes and it’s caused some confusion so I apologize! My incompetence knows no bounds and thank you to the user that pointed out the (lack of) changes.
One day is determined by Reddits internal clock as a 24 hour period after a post is made, once that post changes to 1 day a new ai post can be made.
The elephant in the room: The change was made after observing several users ignoring the existing posting rules as a way to help encourage post variety, something that seems to be working for the most part. I’m sure the AI enthusiasts are disappointed by this and some may even find it unfair but this subreddit is for feral art made by artists first and not ai.
This change may not be permanent and things may change in the future. Please feel free to discuss the changes and offer feedback that isn’t just “allow more ai posts :(“ I’m doin my best to take the communities opinions into account and despite the anti ai crowds feelings ai posts perform well enough to not disallow outright. Edit: also I forgot I added an Ai Generated flair, it’s optional for those that want to use it instead of the other flairs.
